Room 429, Tuesday Morning

After the fiasco with the television yesterday, Reno had emptied out about half of his liquor stash before going to bed.

Waking up with a hangover and then taking a shower in rum had been unexpected, but he was willing to look at it as a new beginning.

A good start to the day.

Better than being to his knees in fictional sewer water had been.

That was why all of Reno's empties were now filled with showerhead rum. And once he was done having himself another shower in the hair of the dog, he was going to spend a good chunk of the day in his room, loving the heck out of the weirdness of Fandom.

A drunk ferret might be funny.

"They made you fight monsters without a weapon," Romeo said. The statement carried some of the inflection of a question, but wasn't really one. "Later is probably a better time for me to ask that, but I would listen if you wanted to talk."

A sober ferret was funny.

"Sometimes weapons aren't even enough," Reno replied with a shrug. "Anytime that's good for you is good for me, man. Maybe... A more sober time, though, yeah. Can tell you all about clones an' haywire robots and ... uhhh. More clones. And stuff."

Really, there had been more than clones and robots. Also, Reno had showered in rum. Coincidence?

"A more sober time and a time when I don't have a shop to open before a drunken pixie decides to fire me, or throw things at me, whichever amuses her more," Romeo said, rolling his eyes. "I'll see you later."

Reno grinned and nodded. "Then, too. See you on the flipside, man!"

And now was a great time for a drunken thumbs-up. Best buddy ever, right there. Him and Rude. The both of them. Best ever. Yep!
