Room 429, Saturday Evening

It had been a long day, and Reno had gotten permission to beat people up for candy, which meant that Deadpool was the coolest adult ever. But, as really cool days tended to go, there was always a time when wee Renos had to retire to their bedrooms again, in order to pull on their pyjamas and get ready for be-

"WEASEL! WEASEL WEASEL WEASEL!!!"

Maybe not get ready for bed so much. There was a time when wee Renos had to harass the poor ferret, instead.

Honk!

"He's very squirmy. But you have to be careful, because weasels bite!" Ed proclaimed. "Honk honk honker-honk?" he asked Mako, trying to communicate.

Edmund's eyes widened. "I didn't expect that to work! I was making things up. I don't really speak weasel." He cleared his throat and tried again. "Honk honk honk?"

"Honk, I think. I hope I don't insult his mother. I wonder if I think really hard about what I want to say, and then try to say it in weasel, he might understand me!" Edmund concentrated very hard on wanting the weasel to nod its head. "Honk honk honk honk?"

"No, I don't think so," Edmund replied uncertainly. "You try if you think you can do it good!"

"I think you might have scared him," Edmund said after a moment. "You don't have to be so loud!"

[identity profile] once-a-traitor.livejournal.com 2009-03-15 01:21 am (UTC)(link)
"That's better. Maybe we should give him some food? Weasels like food. It says so in my books."

Edmund didn't like to look like he didn't know what he was talking about, but he didn't have his books here, so he made something up. "Jam sandwiches."

[identity profile] once-a-traitor.livejournal.com 2009-03-15 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
"Of course they do!" Ed approved. "Where can we get jam sandwiches from?"

[identity profile] once-a-traitor.livejournal.com 2009-03-15 01:40 am (UTC)(link)
"I've never used the telephone before. I'm not allowed."

[identity profile] once-a-traitor.livejournal.com 2009-03-15 01:44 am (UTC)(link)
"Ummmmmmm," Edmund made a long, drawn out noise while he tried to think of somewhere. "The jam sandwich shop!" It existed in his head.

[identity profile] once-a-traitor.livejournal.com 2009-03-15 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Ed shuffled in closer, trying to listen to the phone as well. "Is anyone there?" he whispered. "Who's speaking?"

[identity profile] once-a-traitor.livejournal.com 2009-03-15 01:59 am (UTC)(link)
"Three please!" Edmund added a little louder than he should have been. "With the crusts cut off!"

[identity profile] once-a-traitor.livejournal.com 2009-03-15 02:19 am (UTC)(link)
Edmund frowned and yelled into the telephone. "They're not here and it's just us and we would like some sandwiches please! If you can't give us some, can you tell us where to get some? We have a very hungry weasel here."
