Room 501, Wednesday Afternoon

Packing.

It was much faster a job than one would expect, given how much crap Reno had amassed since coming to Fandom. But he had managed to stuff everything that he had come to the island with into the same duffel he had brought initially, and most of his booze stash even managed to get crammed in there as well. This left a box with a model helicopter to be carried under one arm, and he was good to go.

Turks, after all, knew how to pack light.

Reno, who was thankfully far less blue than he had been last night, looked around room 501, smirking faintly. If there was one thing that could be said for the school office, it was that they worked decently quickly. Even if they couldn't spell to save their lives.

Room 429. A single. Tseng would be sated, anyhow, and it meant that Reno got a room all to himself, which wasn't half bad, either.

[Establishy-ish? I'm leaving for work in half an hour, but it's open if anyone wants to ask Reno what he's up to-- if you're okay with not being pinged back to until later on this evening.]

"Living the high life on the fourth floor," she nodded. "Moving up in the world. Down, rather. Nice pad. I should let you enjoy its singleness and all that."

"You goin' already? So much for the housewarming party," Reno made a face that could almost be misconstrued for pouting. Briefly. "You probably got places to be, studyin' to do, stuff like that. I understand."

This was all accompanied by a very beleaguered sort of siiiigh. If she had to go, he wouldn't keep her, ho-hum.

She laughed and leaned back against the door. "Kinda deserted to be a ... party," she said, and why was she not leaving, anyway?

"I've been to some pretty kickin' parties where nobody showed up," he replied, noting that the door was going to be difficult for her to open if she was going to lean on it like that. "Trick is to make your own fun, zoto."

"That has to be easier with two people than just one," she supplied, biting her lip with a nervous smile. "You ... got ... any ideas on that?"

"I'm usually good for an idea or two." He walked toward the doorway and grinned down at her. "Let me put that chopper somewhere and maybe we can brainstorm."

Rikku held the chopper out in front of her, blushing. "I ... uh. Should probably."

Go? Please, she couldn't even make herself say it.

"Take a seat? Great idea, zoto." There happened to be plenty of room on the bed, didn't there?

He took the box and set it down on the desk, where it could stay until it grew legs and walked away, for all Reno cared right now.

"You know, we never really ... uh. Talked? About ..."

Why she was sitting on the edge of his bed and looking up at him? No, that wasn't right. Must've been something else entirely.

"Talked about?" See, Reno was interested in talking. Or listening. Or whatever. And that was totally why he was taking a seat on the edge of his bed right beside her.

No ulterior motives here. Never. "So, let's talk."

"Really?" she asked. It was only a little breathy. She was just leaning in a bit.

"Totally." A little bit was good. A little bit was just enough, really. Meant that he was allowed to lean back. Just a bit. "Let's hear what you got to say, yoto."

Rikku closed her eyes. Conversation? She needed to be talking and ...

... that wasn't going to happen.

Reno was entirely of the opinion that one did not have to be speaking in order to manage to say something.

What Reno would be saying right now would have to be something along the lines of 'Damn, you taste good.'

Mmmm. Rikku had to concur. Also possibly something along the lines of 'I forget to think when you kiss me,' 'I like your new room,' and 'we should really do this more often.'

It was funny how kissing said so much, wasn't it? Reno also liked his new room. And more often was a great idea. A very great idea.

He was going to run the fingers of one hand through that ponytail of hers.

Rikku sighed, leaning into the kiss and sliding one of her hands around the base of his neck. And nuzzling in against his fingers, which were doing such lovely things with her hair. That meant she should get closer, right?

She should absolutely get closer, yes. He could help with that. See. He would get closer, too, and there. Now they were both closer. And she continued to taste good.

If she was closer and he was closer then she should place her other hand on his ... leg? Just resting it there. Lightly. While she settled in to nibble at his lower lip and he had a single, really? That suddenly seemed like a very wonderful thing to have.

Singles were great. Reno was of the express opinion that everyone in the world should have a single. So much opportunity. So many conversations to be had.

If her hand was on his leg, his hand was going to have to be on her hip. It was simply the way of things. As was nibbling back. And tongue. Mmm.

Oh. Tongue. Tongue was so very nice. His tongue should say hello to hers. And could she suck on that little cupid's-bow of his upper lip, some more, please? She was pressed even closer and couldn't remember what she had wanted to be talking about, earlier. She couldn't remember that she had needed to say anything at all.

Reno was going to further along the conversation by sliding one hand up her shirt. Just a little. Just enough to trace his fingers over her skin. Just enough to make certain that the words they weren't saying wouldn't be falling on deaf ears.

He was grinning against her lips. They were bringing up excellent points here, weren't they?

Her heart was pounding and he had such lovely fingers and they were alone, weren't they? In his room, door shut, and she wasn't sure what they were doing or what any of it meant if it meant anything at all but ... she liked it. So maybe she would breathe deep and ease into it. Getting her feet wet. A nice day for it, wasn't it?

He was going to have to kiss her more deeply and run that other hand of his up over her skin, too.

Deeper. Slower, and leaning up to let his hands brush over her skin. Skin, she'd missed skin, and why did he have so many layers? She could nudge his jacket down his shoulders, but not really take it off unless his hands left her skin. Maybe she'd settle for sliding her fingers around the collar of his shirt, peeking in at the edges.
