Room 429, Wednesday, Early Afternoon
Reno had himself a ferret.
The ferret didn't have a name yet, but at least Reno knew what it was. That was a bonus, at least. So, while Reno busied himself on the internet looking up information on proper ferret care, he let the little ninja-weasel-goose run free around his room.
This went about as well as could be expected. While Reno was, in fact, uncovering some pretty useful information, he was rather distracted as well.
After all, it wasn't every day you got to see a member of the weasel family attempt to haul a nightstand over to its cage in an effort to add it to its nest.
It wasn't going anywhere, and so the nameless ferret moved on to the next item it could manage. It had only slightly better results with the sheets dangling off the edge of Reno's bed.
"You," Reno informed the ferret with a grin on his lips, "are one stupid little critter, aren't you?"
The ferret honked in joyful agreement and decided that it would rather try to wage war on Reno's foot, after all.
[Open if you want to stop by to visitthe weasels Reno and the pet, but the door's closed to prevent any stealthy and ill-fated escapes down the hallway and then the stairwell. Thread with Romeo will be last chronologically, no matter what order people might happen to ping in. Yay ferret!]

The ferret honked from inside the cage. Ignore that, Rude.
"See," Reno continued, "Rude's my partner, back with the Turks. He ain't even from this planet, either. And he knows damn well that if anyone but us gets their hands on those pictures, I'll hitchhike all the way to Edge and beat his face in with my EMR."
Reno smiled almost sweetly as he said that.
"Ain't that right, Rude?"
"Absolutely." The tiniest corner of Rude's mouth flicked upwards in a smirk. "...You'd TRY to beat my face in. You wouldn't succeed."
"Bah, I can run faster scared than you can run anytime," Reno smirked up at Romeo.
They were always like this, yes.

"You'd both be running if any others see those photos," he told them, a laugh in his voice because he was letting it go. And yes, he was threatening professional killers, what of it? "And look! They sent us one more." His eyes almost bulged out of his head. "They seem to be .. becoming friendly."
He forwarded it to Rude, comment-free this time.

"You still haven't given me a reason to help," Rude observed. As a completely tangential, unrelated aside, he asked, "Have you ever heard of a country called... France?"
"France," Reno repeated, looking up at Romeo with somewhat wide eyes. France, from what he could gather, was very, very far away. "Man, what's it worth to you to give us a city name or an address or somethin'?"
Clearly, it was worth a lot to Reno.
"You mean, in addition to any other pictures you receive?"
....
".... Yeah?"
"You'll have to owe me one. A BIG one. Almost as big as... Paris?"
"PARIS. Yep, I owe you huge!" Reno pointed at Romeo. "We're goin' to Paris!"

With tongue, even.
"We are," he said. "And I think we are going now."
"Thank your friend," he added, on his way to the door. "I'll go get a jacket and meet you at the causeway portal as soon as I can make it."
He wasn't Reno, but he could move fast enough, when motivated, and this was more than sufficient motivation.
