Pizza Planet, Monday

The salute to summer produce continued apace at Pizza Planet. Raiden would be sad when it was over, but then it would be time to embrace the flavors of fall!

It was not yet time to embrace the flavors of fall. Don't come for him, pumpkin spice. Wait your turn.

Monday: Covent Garden Flowers

When Nell arrived to open the shop today she found stacks of what appeared to be mail order catalogs being dropped off. She tried to explain that she hadn't ordered them and didn't need them, but the mail person insisted that they had to drop them off because of what day it was.

"Monday?" Nell asked, with a note in her voice that suggested it was hopeless to even ask, and indeed she just got an eye roll before they headed off for their next stop.

Nell sighed and brought the stack inside before setting to work. Periodically throughout the day, if she had a break, she'd pick one up at random and leaf through it. Some of them were ridiculously expensive or had ridiculous offerings. Sometimes both.

Come distract her!

Pick Your Poison, Monday Morning

Harley-her-Harley had not come home last night. Instead, Pam had received a nigh-indecipherable string of emojis and exclamation marks, from which she'd deduced that the situation was still ongoing but not to worry.

Which made her worry.

Between that and the anger and the worry about Adrian, she'd be spending the early morning hours tearing through the store with a broom. Maybe there were some corners Adrian hadn't reached last week?

The store was open. Ish.

Good morning all, it's time for me to report on what happened yesterday. Which was not much at all, with Dr. Isley in her shop and myself at the Perk, where Dr. Quinn also stopped by to order a beverage.

I'm sure you're all very surprised to learn that is, in fact, everything of note for yesterday. Until next week, Fandom.

Infinite Consortium, Monday

There were a number of broken bottles, mirrors, and various and sundry items around the store today. And also one necromancer currently having fun with the day's most recent shipment. The thunder lasso she had received was a great deal of fun to play with. Not only did it make her stronger and tougher when she equipped it, but with a quick flick of her wrist, she was lassoing things over and knocking them done with ease.

The haunted armor did not appreciate being used for practice, but was also used to its lot in life as it once again picked itself up off the ground. Just to once again feel the lariat slide over its shoulders and--CRASH! Yup. Once again tapped prone on the ground.

"All right, all right, I'll put this away in the window," Liliana said. "You've got a lot to clean up around here anyway."

The haunted armor once more pushed itself up to its feet. No lasso. Went to the cleaning closet. No lasso. Grabbed a broom. No lasso. Started to sweep--

Lasso.

Once more it went crashing to the floor as Liliana laughed. "Couldn't resist," she said with a brilliant grin, before skipping off to the desk, leaving the haunted armor to start the whole process all over again.

The Perk, Sunday Afternoon

With Marc off taking care of business in London (exactly what business, Watts didn't ask and Marc didn't offer, beyond letting him know he'd text Watts if it took longer than originally anticipated), the house was quieter than usual. Which perhaps explained why Watts was currently at the Perk, notebook open and Polish dictionary in hand as he worked through some language lessons on his mobile telephone, pausing occasionally to take a sip of his mocha or to put on headphones and listen to an audio clip.

Ooh, was that a half-eaten danish the patrons at the next table over had left behind? Watts leaned over to snag it before the staff could come by to tidy the table and toss out a perfectly good snack.

Fandom Radio, Saturday, August 16

Good morning, everyone! It is I, Miss Lydia Bennet, here to bring you all the news the squirrels could scribble down before they passed out. Drink is a terrible vice, you know.

*angry chittering*

Oh, get over it. Now let me see...ah! Of course. We shall begin with the school, as we always do. Drama in the Park-a-Rama was learning to do stunts, with Mr. Rogers disappointed there were no shields available. Markets of the World visited Spain, where Mr. Rand and Miss Beniko discussed snails and the capitals of Europe. I imagine one can find snails in most of them. First Aid 2: First Aider discussed, ah, substances which may be intoxicating and addictive, a unit which I hope the squirrels learned something from.

I'm not seeing anything from the dormitory, so we shall move along to the town, where at the Trooper Station birds were being held for, I quote, 'bird crimes,' so Mr. Grant and Detective Watts elected to move their luncheon outside. Dr. Quinn was doing...something at Needful Things, but the squirrel on that beat seems to have gotten distracted by something halfway through writing this note. Perhaps I shall give the porg your job and assign you to the dormitory. Mr. Henry did some sketching in the park--ah, that sounds a lovely way to spend an afternoon! Miss Skywalker was enjoying some snacks at her warehouse, where she was joined by Dean Skywalker and they discussed her recent trip and--oh! Miss Skywalker! Are you coming with us to the market? We shall make a shopper of you yet! At Plant Parenthood, Miss Eleanor was doing some shopping of her own, as well as a bit of plant husbandry. Mr. Argentum was not a fan of the theme of the day at Turtle & Canary, but Mr. James Stark liked his hat, and asked him to join his class in the coming week to discuss photography. Well, it's not hard! You just snap a picture with your phone and then add a few filters, is all. Imagine a whole class on it!

That does seem to be the end of my notes for this week, dear listeners, so I shall bid you farewell until next Saturday, when heavens know what will have happened. Best of luck in the coming week!

"Today we're headed to Spain," Lana announced. Look, sue her, she was more excited for Earth markets than ones back home.

"The Mercat Central de Valencia," she pronounced carefully "to be specific. It's been around for over a hundred years, and has all sorts of food available, plus perfumes and some other non-food things." But let's face it, the food was fun.

"It's slightly cooler there than here, but not by much, so we should be fine. And we probably won't be the only tourists, so they're used to it. Have fun!"

Usually, Prompto (who was absolutely, definitely, without a doubt consistently here most Fridays! Ahem!) didn't mind Apu's holiday celebrations. He honestly sort of looked forward to (most of) what zany thing his coworker was coming up with each time. But today's holiday?

Well, you'd think a gunslinger like him would be all about Cowboys and Cowgirls Day, but he was distinctly awkward and blushing from the moment Apu plopped a cowboy hat on his head and he gave a weak little 'yee haw!', blushing furiously all the while.

Thanks gods with Summer off on Ravnica now,he had taken up more administrative duties so that he could focus on something else!

Or try to, anyway...

Fandom Radio, Friday, August 15, 2025

Good morning, everyone, it's Steve Rogers. I'm back from New York--the dogs had an appointment last Friday--and I'd like to thank the other Steve for taking over last week even if he was voluntold rather than volunteered.

*chittering*

He was pressed into service, huh? Navy joke. Nice. Let's get to the notes.

In classes, Raiden took us to Japan to try pizza, which Arden and I bravely did, before getting a chance to explore Tokyo. Arden was bringing a strawberry sandwich back and that was probably a better choice than our pizza. Finding New Hobbies made friendship bracelets. Well, Anakin wasn't making any, but Steven showed Luma that he'd made one that said 'husband' on it for Watts and also one for Marc, who he shares a body with.

*pause*

So he's making himself a friendship bracelet? Neat! Liliana continued to expose Urza and his terrible decisions to a Fandom audience before judging his choices and lack of preparation. Ignis stopped by after class to offer support for Liliana's frustration that she is running out of time to explain just how terrible Urza was before pivoting to figuring out what she should teach next semester to get the good rooms for the school trip.

*laughter*

I love that. Finally, the gremlins were making blackout poetry at the library.

In town, Liz was being "mostly productive" at the Photo Hut and in August, that's probably the best we can hope for, isn't it? Luma was working off a bad mood at Pixie Dust through retail therapy, and Steph was trying to tamp down gremlin anger at a game they were playing at Android's Dungeon. Harley went to the museum wanting to know what Steven said to Marc to cause him to dump her, Steven eventually went with "I was honest" as an answer and...well, it went downhill pretty quickly with accusations of not being listened to, not wanting to hear negative feedback, being too hurt to accept kindness, and being, quote, "condescending as shit." Steven called Liliana over after Harley left and gave her a summary of the whole mess, which I appreciate since I think I was a dog at the time. Basically, it seems, Harley didn't like Steven and Watts, Marc didn't like that she didn't like Steven and Watts, and it became a dealbreaker in Harley and Marc's relationship. Liliana wanted to know why Marc wasn't talking to Harley about any of this, but apparently he's "giving her space." But don't he and Steven share a--so he was also at--you know what, it's none of my business.

Thor was mixing up piƱa coladas at the Devil's Nest, Atton and his lightsabers met up with Rey in the park and talk Jedi, and the Supper Club became the Brunch Club to enjoy breakfast foods and mimosas at Raiden's new restaurant, Over Easy. Henry got introduced to the idea of brunch, and then punch--he's from the Middle Ages, so it's a lot to catch up on--and Rey got an earful from Lydia about how unhappy she was to go flying into the ocean yesterday before she and Lydia talked about mimosas with Flint.

And that's everything from me! Have a great weekend.

Plant Parenthood; Friday [08/15].

Luma hadn't come back to the room yesterday after her work shift, but Eleanor didn't think too much about it. That had been pretty common, really, and unsurprising. Sometimes, she just liked to spend a night as a wolf in the woods, sometimes a few days, but she'd always come back desperate for a shower, so, after the debacle that was Wednesday's shenanigans, Eleanor thought she could at least make sure that she had a few good soaps and body scrubs picked out for her for when she got back.

Eventually, maybe, Luma would appreciate those little things, but Eleanor was happy to do it until she did.

She'd also brought in one of her own plants today, because one of her sage plants had been struggling a little. So, in between various tasks and helping customers, she was also doing what she could to plumb from Plant Parenthood's resources to sort of revive and resuscitate it, marveling how, probably not even a year ago, she wouldn't have even known where to even start, but could now do it almost effortlessly. And it was heartening, to see that kind of progress.

Plant Parenthood is open!

Drama in the Park-a-Rama [Friday, Period One]

The park looked ominously more like it was set up for shenanigans, with racks of foam weapons set up around an inflatable boxing ring.

"Our director thinks you need to learn stunts," Cara said, with a truly ambivalent air about her, because on the one hand fighting, on the other did this even really count?

"To go along with the stunt driving we did," Jane added. "We think. It's sort of hard to get a straight answer out of him. "But this seemed to be the safest way to accomplish it."

"The point is to look impressive and not actually hurt each other, so the opposite of normal fighting."

"Be safe anyway," Jane added quickly. Because they didn't want to deal with the Moose about it and be assigned an even worse class next time.

There were so many terrible things the moose could inflict upon them.

Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

It was a very complicated week! There wasn't anything bad, but Rey's head was in a lot of different places, sometimes all at once. That meant that this morning she very much took it all out on the course, and then cracked open the snack locker to set things out in the little seating area she'd made out of crates.

It was going to be that kind of day.

The Park, Friday Afternoon

Right, so after yesterday's Supper Club, Henry had done what he should have done ages ago and bartered his way into a little notebook. Yes, his own writing was chicken scratch at the best of times, but he could doodle just fine, and--

Well, it would help him keep track. Of things. If that was even necessary, considering-- best not to dwell on the surreality of all of it.

And now he had a booklet, and a growing confidence in leaving the castle, so. He was leaving the castle to go for a bit of a stroll. He'd noticed unusual flowers 'round here, and he was curious - what were they? Were any of them useful? And some of them were quite beautiful, as well.

... Yes, he got distracted by the park, barely a few minutes into his journey. He would now be found standing on the grass, or squatted on the floor, or just leaning in curiously to eye a flower, sketching all the while.

His notebook was likely going to be full before he could make real use of it. Oh well.

Needful Things; Friday

The previous day's museum visit having gone the way it had, there was really only one thing for Harley to do...

Throw herself full throttle into her heist plans!!

Sure, there were other things she could've tried to do, too, but the top one was both too terrifying and she was sure Steven was too busy continuing to be self-righteous and licking his wounds and doing absolutely no genuine self-reflection whatsoever - and most importantly, holding onto the body all through that - for her to even make an attempt at the thing right then, so. Heist plans it was!

She had a map of the mainland spread out on the floor in the middle of the still-empty store. And at each corner of the map, there were offerings of rum. She could remember about the squirrels when it counted, and crime really counted! She had a marker, and she had her phone, and she was marking the locations of some of the places the kid had scouted that seemed to have the best loot. Or, she could say, where the best merch for her store was just waiting to fall right into her grubby little hands.

She was, after all, a genuine article bad person.

(ALL HEIST STUFF NFB PLZ, store closed, post open, some SP will occur throughout Friday)
